  1. To change the account your computer is linked to, first unlink the computer in your account settings or desktop applications preferences
  2. Unlinking devices from your Dropbox accounts means Dropbox will no longer sync changes to the files and folders in the Dropbox folder on that device
    1. The files themselves remain untouched and are still available through the web login
  3. To unlink a device from your account using the web, login to dropbox.charlotte.edu
    1. Click on Settings
    2. Under the Profile tab, under Connected Dropboxes, click on Disconnect
  4. The instructions below show how to unlink devices using the Dropbox Sync App:

  1. Click the Dropbox icon in the system tray
     
  2. Click the Gear icon, then Preferences
  3. Click the Account tab
  4. Click the tab of the account you wish to unlink (UNC Charlotte or Personal)
  5. Click the Unlink UNC Charlotte Dropbox... button
  6.  Click OK
  1. Click the Dropbox icon in the menu bar
  2. Click the Gear icon, then Preferences
  3. Click the Account tab
  4. Click the tab of the account you wish to unlink (Personal or UNC Charlotte)
  5. Click the Unlink UNC Charlotte Dropbox... button
  6. Click Unlink
