The University will transition to the Zoom Phone service during the Fall semester 2023. Zoom phones will allow you to make and receive calls over the internet using your computer, smartphone, or voice-over-IP-enabled deskset.

Voicemail and other settings will NOT be migrated from the old system to the new system. The Office of OneIT will not be able to retrieve your old voicemails. We encourage you to download any needed voicemail messages by December 15, 2023. Access to your old voicemails on the Cisco system will end on December 19, 2023.

You can save individual messages to your computer through the Cisco Unity Connection Web Inbox:

  1. Log into VPN if you are off campus; see this FAQ for instructions.
  2. Log into your Cisco Unity Connection Web Inbox at  https://uncxn1.voice.uncc.edu/inbox/
    1. Use your NinerNET username and password to log in.
  3. Right-click on the message that you want to download.
    1. HINT: Look in Deleted for any voice messages over 30 days old.
    2. You may need to click the Play button to see the file before right-clicking
  4. Save the audio file to your computer, Google Drive or Dropbox.
