There are 2 actions you will need to take with your signature after the change to @charlotte.edu...

  1. While in Gmail, click the gear icon then See all settings

  2. On the General tab, scroll down to the Signature section

After completing the steps below, click Save Changes at the bottom of the Settings page.

Action #1: Change the text of your signature to reflect the @charlotte.edu email address

  1. Select the Signature that you want to change

  2. On the right where the text is displayed, change the text for your email address to reflect your @charlotte.edu address
  3. If your email address shows as a hyperlink (like above), single click the email address then click Change
  4. In the box, change uncc to charlotte in both fields

  5. Scroll down and click Save Changes at the bottom of the Settings page.

Action #2: Assign a signature to your @charlotte.edu email addresses

  1. In Signature Defaults, click the Email Address dropdown list and select your @charlotte.edu address
  2. Select the signature you want to use for New and Reply/Forward emails

  3. Scroll down and click Save Changes at the bottom of the Settings page.

    You will need to make this signature selection for both your username@charlotte.edu address as well as you email.alias@charlotte.edu address.

    You will still continue to see @uncc.edu as the TOP signature option each time you open your signature defaults
