The University will transition to the Zoom Phone service during the Fall semester 2023. Zoom phones will allow you to make and receive calls over the internet using your computer, smartphone, or voice-over-IP-enabled deskset. See Zoom Phone FAQs.

If you are requesting a phone line to be disconnected, please be aware that University Policy 601.1 states that all permanent employees are required to have a university phone number. Only requests to disconnect phone lines for vacancies will be processed. Please state that the request to disconnect is due to a vacant position when submitting a ticket to the Service Desk.

Requests for phone line disconnects can only be made if the request is because of a position vacancy.

  1. Contact the OneIT Service Desk, 704-687-5500 or submit a ticket through the portal
  2.  Provide:
    1. the reason for the request
    2. the extension number
  3. Requests will be processed within 2-3 business days.
