Tell Me

There are several options for accessing the imaging system while not on campus.

  1. Most imaging system functions can be performed by accessing the system via a browser. Detailed steps are provided in this FAQ. VPN access is not required for remote imaging system access via a browser, but is encouraged.
  2. The Perceptive Content desktop client is required for system administration, for some document capture functions, and for properties updates using Banner linking. Guidance on installing and using the desktop client is available in these FAQs. VPN access is required for remote imaging system access via the desktop client.

    Mac Users

Mac users who need the desktop client must purchase VMWare Fusion Pro (available in the 49erMart from CDW-G by searching product #6246238) and support (required by VMWare and available from the 49erMart from CDW-G by searching product #3474794) or find a loaner device. Perceptive Content can then be installed within that environment.

  3. eForms and DocuSign forms that feed into Perceptive Content can be accessed using any browser. NinerNet login may be required for some forms. VPN access is not required for eForm or DocuSign form submission.
  4. Assigned imaging tasks can be completed using any browser by clicking the link included in the notification email or via imaging.uncc.edu. Detailed steps for completing assigned tasks are provided in this FAQ. Steps for completing approval tasks that require workflow routing are provided in this FAQ.

    Mobile App

There is a Perceptive Content app available on Android and iOS app stores, but it is NOT compatible with the current version of Perceptive Content and is therefore unsupported by OneIT.
