The Perceptive Content Toolbar should display, as shown below:
5. Process your documents as follows:
a. For documents to be scanned:
i. Gather documents for a particular drawer and insert a patchcode sheet between each document set (pages that should be stored together)
ii. Do no put a patchcode on top or on the bottom of the batch
iii. Place the document batch for the drawer in the scanner
iv. Click the Capture icon on the Perceptive Content Toolbar and select the scanning profile option for the desired scanning destination and file type
Single Scan Note
Some single scan capture profiles will prompt the user to update Proposed Keys. If Banner linking is used to update of keys, then you will need to be logged into the associated Banner screen (Ex: SPAIDEN or PPAIDEN) prior to initiating the scan. The required keys and any optional keys, if appropriate, should be reviewed and updated. The Document Type should always be verified and, if appropriate, updated. Click the Capture button to finalize update.
Patchcodes
If using batch mode, you will need to use patchcodes to separate each batch of documents
NOTE: Steps v. through ix. only apply in limited instances where QA (Quality Assurance) is not automatically bypassed by the Capture profile
v. If the capture option you selected routes your document to Batches for QA (Quality Assurance), then click the Batches icon on the Perceptive Content Toolbar to initiate QA
vi. Select All Batches under the Batches view and then locate and double click your document to open it
vii. Review the document to ensure it is legible
viii. If any of the scanned pages need to be rotated, click the Rotate 90 Left/Right icons and then select View/Rotate/ Save Image Rotation to Server on the top menu
ix. In the Actions panel, select Mark page as OK if the page is legible or select Rescan this page if update is needed
b. For files to be uploaded:
i. Click the Capture icon on the Perceptive Content Toolbar and select the upload profile option for the desired destination and file type
ii. In the Proposed Keys dialog box that displays, update the document keys for the file you are uploading and click the Capture button
iii. In the File Explorer window that displays, navigate to the document to be uploaded and then click the Open button
iv. Update the document keys and custom properties, as necessary, in the preview of the uploaded document that appears in a Perceptive Content Viewer
v. Click the Save icon once all updates are complete
c. For documents to be printed:
i. Locate and open the document that is to be printed into Perceptive Content
ii. Initiate Printing Process
a. select Print from the File menu
b. OR Hold the Ctrl key and the P key
iii. Select ImageNow Printer from the printer section
iv. In the ImageNow Print box that displays, select the appropriate Capture Profile from the dropdown based on the desired destination and document type
v. Click the OK button
v. In the Proposed Keys box that displays, update the document keys for the file you are uploading and click the Capture button
vi. If folders are associated with the Capture Profile that was selected then, in the Create Shortcut window that displays, update values as necessary and click the OK button
d. For document to be dragged and dropped as a new document:
i. Navigate within the Perceptive Content Explorer window to the Documents view or Workflow queue where the document is to be added
ii. Drag and drop the document to be added from File Explorer into the white space in the Perceptive Content Explorer grid, as shown below:
iii. In the New Document dialog box that displays, update the Properties for the file you are uploading and click the OK button
iv. Update the Document Keys and Custom Properties, as necessary, in the preview of the uploaded document that appears in a Perceptive Content Viewer
v. Click the Save icon once all updates are complete
