Note
There are two ways to add redirects to your website. Option #1 is more globally applicable.
Option #1
Step-by-step guide
- Click Redirects on your Site Manager toolbar ([siteurl]/admin/config/search/redirect) then click + Add Redirect.
- Identify the link that you want to direct users away from (this link is usually the broken link).
- Copy the entire file path to the right of the first slash and paste it in the From field as shown.

Automatic Alias (which should always be set) can make the URL path different than the original site–especially when the site architecture (menu) is changed when we create new sites. Adding this step assures the old url will not be broken.
- Click on URL Redirect, then +Add redirect to this location.
- Copy the entire file path to the right of the first slash and paste in the From field as shown. Leave the node file path as-is in the To field. Click Save.
